• 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
• 8 thin slices of prosciutto
• 8 fresh sage leaves
• 1 tablespoon olive oil
• Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the Chicken: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Lay the chicken breasts on a clean work surface and season them generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Wrap the Chicken: Place two slices of prosciutto on a clean surface, overlapping them slightly. Place a chicken breast at the center of the prosciutto slices and top it with two fresh sage leaves. Carefully wrap the prosciutto around the chicken, ensuring that the sage leaves are fully encased. Repeat this process with the remaining chicken breasts and prosciutto.
- Sear the Chicken: Heat the olive oil in a large, oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Carefully add the wrapped chicken breasts to the hot pan and sear for 2-3 minutes per side, or until the prosciutto is crispy and golden brown.
- Finish in the Oven: Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Allow the chicken to rest for 5 minutes before serving.
