Classic, Easy Crockpot Angel Chicken Recipe

  • Author: Elizabeth
  • Total Time: 6-8 hours 15 minutes

Ingredients

• 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
• 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
• 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup
• 1/2 cup white wine or chicken broth
• 2 cloves garlic, minced
• 1 teaspoon dried thyme
• 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary
• Salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Crockpot: Lightly grease the interior of your crockpot with nonstick cooking spray or a thin layer of butter.
  2. Add the Chicken: Place the bite-sized chicken pieces in the prepared crockpot, arranging them in an even layer.
  3. Make the Sauce: In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, cream of chicken soup, white wine or broth, garlic, thyme, and rosemary. Whisk the mixture until it’s smooth and well-blended. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  4. Pour and Cook: Pour the creamy sauce over the chicken in the crockpot, ensuring the chicken is evenly coated. Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce is thickened.
  5. Serve and Enjoy: Once the cooking time is up, give the sauce a gentle stir to incorporate any browned bits on the sides of the crockpot. Serve the Crockpot Angel Chicken over cooked rice, pasta, or mashed potatoes, garnishing with fresh parsley or chives if desired. Savor the rich, comforting flavors and tender chicken in every bite!
