Grilled Shrimp Skewers

  • Author: Jasmine
  • Total Time: 46 minutes to 1 hour 18 minutes

Ingredients

• 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
• 2 tablespoons olive oil
• 3 cloves garlic, minced
• 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
• 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
• 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
• Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
• Wooden or metal skewers

Instructions

• Step 1: In a large bowl, combine the shrimp, olive oil, garlic, smoked paprika, oregano, and red pepper flakes (if using). Season with salt and pepper to taste. Toss to coat the shrimp evenly. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
• Step 2: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F to 400°F). If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes to prevent them from burning.
• Step 3: Thread the marinated shrimp onto the skewers, leaving a small space between each shrimp.
• Step 4: Grill the shrimp skewers for 2-3 minutes per side, or until the shrimp are opaque and slightly charred. Be careful not to overcook.
• Step 5: Remove the grilled shrimp skewers from the grill and serve immediately, garnished with chopped fresh parsley or lemon wedges, if desired.
