Ingredients
• 2 cups heavy cream
• 1 cup whole milk
• 3/4 cup granulated sugar
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 cup rainbow sprinkles
Instructions
• Step 1: In a medium saucepan, combine the heavy cream, milk, sugar, vanilla, and salt. Heat the mixture over medium, stirring occasionally, until the sugar has dissolved and the mixture is steaming, about 5 minutes.
• Step 2: Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the mixture cool to room temperature, about 30 minutes. Once cooled, cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until completely chilled.
• Step 3: Pour the chilled cream mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions, about 20-25 minutes. During the last 5 minutes of churning, add the sprinkles and continue mixing until well combined.
• Step 4: Transfer the ice cream to an airtight container and freeze for at least 2 hours before serving.
