Ingredients
• 1 pound ground beef
• 1 cup breadcrumbs
• 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
• 2 eggs, beaten
• 3 cloves garlic, minced
• 1 teaspoon dried oregano
• 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
• 1/4 cup olive oil
• 1 jar (24 ounces) marinara sauce
• 4 sub rolls, split lengthwise
• 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
• Step 1: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, parmesan, eggs, garlic, oregano, and red pepper flakes. Mix until well incorporated.
• Step 2: Roll the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through and lightly browned.
• Step 3: In a saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the cooked meatballs and pour in the marinara sauce. Simmer for 5-10 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
• Step 4: Place the split sub rolls on a baking sheet. Top each roll with the meatballs and sauce, then sprinkle with the shredded mozzarella cheese.
• Step 5: Broil the sandwiches for 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Serve hot and enjoy!
