Quick and Succulent Lobster Tail Recipe

  • Author: Elizabeth
  • Total Time: 18-20 minutes

Ingredients

• 2 (6-8 oz) lobster tails, thawed if frozen
• 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
• 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
• 1 teaspoon paprika
• 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
• 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for a slight kick)
• Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Lobster Tails: Using sharp kitchen shears, carefully cut along the center of the lobster tails, cutting through the top shell but not all the way through the meat. Gently pull the shells apart to expose the lobster meat. Run your fingers underneath the meat to loosen it from the shell, but leave the meat attached at the base.
  2. Make the Seasoning Mixture: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, lemon juice, paprika, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper (if using). Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Preheat the Broiler: Set your oven’s broiler to high heat and position the oven rack about 6 inches from the heat source.
  4. Baste and Broil the Lobster Tails: Place the prepared lobster tails on a rimmed baking sheet. Generously brush the exposed lobster meat with the seasoned butter mixture. Broil the lobster tails for 8-10 minutes, basting halfway through, until the meat is opaque and cooked through.
  5. Serve and Enjoy: Carefully transfer the broiled lobster tails to a serving plate. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh lemon wedges and your choice of sides.
