Ingredients
• 1 pound ground beef
• 1 packet taco seasoning
• 1 (16 oz) can refried beans
• 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
• 1 cup sour cream
• 2 cups shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese
• 1 (10 oz) can diced tomatoes with green chilies, drained
• 1 cup shredded lettuce
• Tortilla chips, for serving
Instructions
• Step 1: In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium-high heat, breaking it up as it cooks, until no longer pink. Drain any excess fat.
• Step 2: Stir in the taco seasoning and 1/4 cup of water. Simmer for 5 minutes, then remove from heat and set aside.
• Step 3: In a 9×13 inch baking dish, spread the refried beans in an even layer.
• Step 4: In a medium bowl, mix together the cream cheese and sour cream until well combined. Spread this mixture over the refried beans.
• Step 5: Top the sour cream layer with the cooked seasoned ground beef.
• Step 6: Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the beef layer.
• Step 7: Spread the diced tomatoes with green chilies over the cheese.
• Step 8: Finish with a layer of shredded lettuce.
