Ingredients
• 1 head of romaine lettuce, chopped
• 6 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled
• 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
• 2 tablespoons white sugar
• 1 tablespoon olive oil
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
• Step 1: In a large skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy, about 8-10 minutes. Remove the bacon from the skillet and crumble or chop it into bite-sized pieces.
• Step 2: In the same skillet, add the apple cider vinegar, sugar, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Whisk the dressing ingredients together and bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the sugar is dissolved, about 2-3 minutes.
• Step 3: Add the chopped romaine lettuce to the skillet and toss gently to coat the leaves with the warm dressing. Cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the lettuce is slightly wilted but still crisp.
• Step 4: Remove the skillet from the heat and sprinkle the crumbled bacon over the top of the wilted lettuce salad. Serve immediately while the salad is still warm.
