Ingredients
• 1 head of iceberg or romaine lettuce, chopped
• 6 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled
• 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
• 1 tablespoon sugar
• 1 tablespoon olive oil
• Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
• Step 1: In a large skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy, about 8-10 minutes. Transfer the bacon to a paper towel-lined plate and crumble once cooled.
• Step 2: In the same skillet, reserving 2 tablespoons of bacon fat, add the chopped lettuce. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the lettuce is wilted, about 3-5 minutes.
• Step 3: In a small bowl, whisk together the apple cider vinegar, sugar, and olive oil. Pour the dressing over the wilted lettuce and toss to coat evenly.
• Step 4: Sprinkle the crumbled bacon over the wilted lettuce salad and season with salt and pepper to taste.
• Step 5: Serve the wilted lettuce salad with bacon warm or at room temperature.
